I dated Tenaya Anne Stewart several times in the spring of 1957 while I was at Caltech. I guess I first met Tenaya at Caltech's dance class in January and then again at the dance class the week after I met Shannon Turner and we dated regularly until I left Caltech in June. I saw her again when she visited New York City with her mother in 1961 and when I went to California for a computer conference in 1963. When I came back in 1966, her phone number at been disconnected.
Tenaya was 16 when I met her and had a swimming pool and lived in San Marino, which at that time had the highest average income ($100,000/year) in the US. My father was a laborer making about $5000/year.
